WEEK 31 - I Sustain Him

April 3rd, 2017

My beloved brothers and sisters,

I hope you all felt the peace as we had the wonderful opportunity to hear from our Leaders! This week we got our transfer calls and Elder Wood and I will be togeather for another transfer! However our area has changed so now we are covering two family wards in North Nampa and the YSA ward over the Nampa North Stake and Nampa West Stake! This is an interesting change, since as we have been working really hard to find people to teach we created alot of potential investigators, but all the individuals that we have found turned out to be in the YSA ward so we had to refer them over to the missionaries that covered the YSA, but now we will be covering it so we get to teach them!

We also witnessed a tender mercy to Gods timing. After 3 months of trying to get in touch with this potential investigator.. for whatever reason we got in touch with her on Saturday and we are going to start teaching her the lessons! So thats really exciting:) I also found out this week that my investigator in my last area is getting baptized on the 22nd of May! And that David A. Bednar is visiting our mission on the 29th of May SO this transfer is going to be awesome!

As far as General Conference goes I would like to focus on  S. Mark Palmer's talk.
I really like the scripture that he referred to in Mark,"Then Jesus beholding him, loved him" I really enjoy this concept especially as I have been striving to develop pure charity and love in my heart so I can look at those around me as the Savior does. I can't think of anything better than to be able to see others as he does.

I also enjoy Dallin H. Oaks talk about the Godhead. John 17:3
"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."
I have actually thought about this scripture alot throughout the mission and its really cool to see this talked about! I hope we can all come to know our Savior and Father in heaven more throughout the next 6 months! I know that Thomas S. Monson is our prophet on the Earth today and I am so thankful for his words! I hope everyone has an amazing week!

Keep Smiling,
Love Elder Gerrard
