Hey everyone!
Sorry for the late email we had the opportunity to go to the temple this week so we proselyted this Monday so we could go to the temple today! :) May I just say, the spirit is soo wonderful there. I was pondering on our goal of finding 7 individuals to bring into the fold and the spirit just witnessed to me about how possible this goal is going to be! This past week Elder Dunham and I have committed to refine ourselves as much as we can because we recognize this is God's work and we don't have to do anything besides be pure worthy conduits of his spirit. We arnt perfect at everything but boy.. We have had alot of miracles this week for trying.
Last friday in Horshoebend we didn't have a dinner appointment so we decided to not worry about eating but just go out and work. So we decided to follow through on some revelation I received to take some fresh eggs to our neighbor who we meet week 1.
Walking up to the home there was a older lady outside of the house and we started talking. The wife of the man we were trying to contact came out (she was a little cold at first) and we presented the eggs to her, but she said the older lady likes these eggs a lot more. Once she saw we were not here to preach but to give them eggs the wife asked us if we wanted some of the chicken she just grilled. Because we were starving we said yes haha. So we were fed dinner by non-members and taught the older lady the first discussion and she accepted a Book of Mormon and a return appointment for yesterday to begin taking discussions. And she is progressing super well!
On exchanges with our DL Elder Alba this week also in horshoebend we tried to make contact with one of our investigators. Come to find he wasn't home sooooooooooo. We decided to start knocking the doors around our investigator.
1 door: not very friendly or interested
2 door: pmf member spouse answered had a good conversation left her with a prayer
3 door: no answer
4 door: invited us in the back yard. Elder Alba followed the spirit and bore his testimony in Spanish and we testified of the Book of Mormon she was very interested we taught her about the Book of Mormon and how she can come to know if it's true. She accepted to pray about it and that we could come back next week. We are actually going to see her tonight but it's awesome to see how the Book of Mormon has really caught hold of her attention.
Another miracle we also had was we got a call from our zone leaders with a referral of an individual who has been to church 3 times in a row and he wants to take the discussions to get baptized and he also lives in horseshoe bend! His family told him if he joined the church that they would stop talking to him, but he said that he would be okay with that if his family stopped talking to him.
Honestly you can't make any of this up! That's three investigators in one week! And all of them have been super prepared. We can really feel things happening in our area up here so I hope and pray that we can continue to have success from the Lord as we do the things we should be doing for him.
My thought from the week comes from just how prevalent it seems that we are on the verge of some of the most remarkable times as members of the church. We had stake conference this week and the Elder Sexton of the seventy made some really interesting comments about how we will have less meetings in the church and pretty soon we will understand why the Prophet and Apostles have been talking about the sabbath day so much. I have been thinking about this and as I have been trying to follow President Nelsons invitation to study the conference talks repeatedly I was reading from Elder Hawks talk "Even as Christ Forgives You, So Also Do Ye"
I plead for all of us this day to remember and follow the example of Jesus Christ. On the cross at Golgotha, in His anguish, He uttered these words: “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.”8
By having a forgiving spirit and acting upon it, like my parents and oldest sister, we can realize the promise of the Savior: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”9
I witness this peace will come into our lives as we heed the teachings of Jesus Christ and follow His example by forgiving others. As we forgive, I promise the Savior will strengthen us, and His power and joy will flow into our lives.

I found this talk to be pretty insightful as it seems that we are in a time where we will have to be more forgiving to individuals that we come in contact with because we will be coming into a time where the world and the church will be further and further apart and more so than ever before we will be in the world but not of the world. This will probably create instances where we need to forgive others because they too.. know not what they do.
I testify that this work is HASTENING. Pray for missionary experiences and commit to follow through on the revelation and promptings you receive!
